I remember growing up that they allowed mudding in ATV’s and 4-wheelers at the end of Griffin Rd, people had been going there for 50 years, and all of a sudden it was declared a “danger to the environment” and shut it all down.
There were HUGE holes and trenches of thick creamy black Everglades mud, some 3-4 feet deep that the 4-wheelers and swamp buggy’s would create miles and miles long, and fresh water canal’s to swim in afterwards to rinse off.
Now the only areas you can get muddy at are now shared by Alligator’s and Pythons and other big snakes.
