My older brother, Sam, told us, his younger brothers, about using the washing machine and dryer as mum had got fed up with doing the washing for four boys who were constantly getting wet and muddy. He was 11 or 12 at the time and as he and I shared a bedroom I knew that he often went to bed in wet jeans and would have a long, slow w**k in the morning - somewhat off-putting but I learned a lot just watching whilst pretending to be asleep. So us younger boys never got the “talk” about sparing mum’s blushes, although we did get the birds and bees talk from dad although we had learned a lot from Sam prior to that. Us younger brothers inherited most of our jeans and casual clothes, the ones we got wet and muddy in, from an older brother so the jeans had seen plenty of action, external and internal, by the time we got them. I was 15 before I got my first pair of new jeans and experienced getting wet in stiffer unwashed denim, that was one of those instant boner and gratification moments, ha ha!
