Irving,
Thanks for sharing. I'm a fan of layering clothes - love the heavy wet feel, but have never understood the purpose of outer 'rain gear' when planning on getting soaked.
The outfit sounds great - the nylon shorts/tee, denim shirt, sweatshirt and especially Levis 501 👍.
I have found myself in similar situation when layered and well hydrated during an outdoor activity and have also sometimes had to "pre-wet" which is easier then stopping and taking off all the layers, besides you're about to be totally drenched. Reminds me of a men's church outing I went on to an all day stadium event where it was a steady rain forecast all day to sit outside in. As we got there on the bus the leader gave us all a pep-talk about spending the day in the rain to listen to the speakers during which he said "and besides if you gotta go you can 'just do it' in your pants and no-one will know cause you'll be so wet anyway'. Wow, talk about bad wet memories, just sitting in a cold rain all day in the stadium. Fortunately, a guy next to me shared his umbrella which we huddled under all day so at least our heads/chests were partly dry and only the rest of us was soaked/freezing/shivering with no escape until afterward and the warm bus felt so good that day.
Well, I want to hear more of your obvious album of wet adventures. Love to hear how you layer and with what. Keep the wet stories coming.
Stay safe/wet and also check out WW later.
